The Beacon 185 wooden popper is similar in design to its resin model with a wider profile and more buoyancy from the wood construction. The Beacon is a super effective lure when casting at kingfish in particular, it has a long foamy bubble trail when swept long and steady but can also create a decent bloop with a short stab of the rod. As well as kingfish The Beacon 180 will attract GT's, tuna species, mackerel and all sorts of large reef fish.
