Illex 180W Popper by KM Koubou

Illex was created as a successor model to the Gaina series which was a very popular model in the range. The Illex is a versatile lure that can be used for popping (long, short), splashing, walking the dog and long diving with a bubble trail. The Ilex is designed to emphasize swimming and popping actions so it can attract fish easily, then tempt the bite through the swimming action. It also has great capabilities as a searching lure, so is ideal as a first choice when prospecting a new area.

In rough conditions it is recommended to use heavier hooks, to hold the lure down in the chop. This is an excellent kingfish lure for pressured areas and also great for teasing large reef flats species.
