The Zenaq Longcast series is back and there are now two models, the 78-2 (shown here) and the lighter 76-1. The Longcast series have been very popular as a light tackle inshore rod that can cast lighter lures a long way, without being too long or awkward for fishing in a small boat. These rods are ideal for chasing small pelagic species such as spotty mackerel, bonito, smaller kings and tunas. They are also great for inshore predators like queenfish, salmon, tailor, smaller trevally species and shallow water reef fish.
The moderate tip taper is right at home slinging small metals, minnows or topwaters while the bottom end has plenty of power to turn fishes head.

Zenaq has been hand making fishing rods in Japan since 1960, beginning with bamboo, then glass fiber and now carbon fibre. They are one of the few manufacturers left in Japan making rods fully in house from concept to completion. Their quality and attention to detail in construction is second to none. Pursuit of perfection is everywhere in Zenaq rods from the initial cutting on carbon sheets through to the final layer of epoxy on a finished rod.
