The Bonito 99 is a a realistic lipless sinking stickbait with a compact shape designed to look like an anchovy or sardine. It can be used to target a huge array of small pelagic and reef dwelling predators like tuna, mahi mahi, small kingfish, queenfish, coral trout and emperor species as well as inshore species like small trevally, tailor and Australian salmon.
Designed and manufactured in Italy the body is made of polyurethane resin, has 1.6mm 316 stainless steel through wire with incorporated lead weight and finished is several layers of epoxy. All lures are airbrushed by hand to give an exceptionally realistic appearance. Its aerodynamic shape insures great casting performance.
It can easily be worked with a variety of retrieves from long sweeps to quick twitches with a pause, the enticing wobble on the drop often producing the strike. Even a steady to fast straight wind creates a great swimming action that fish can't resist.
