The Maria Duckdive is a slim long casting lure designed with a smaller cup, giving a more subtle action for those more tentative fish not after the heavy displacement that poppers with a larger cups provide. The action is a shallow dive just bellow the surface with nice frothy bubble trail that follows. The Duckdive works well with both short and long sweeps, able to cover ground quickly or be left in the bite zone and slowly twitched. The Duckdive has a sliding bearing system that pushes weight to the tail when casting provide exceptional distance. When at rest, the lure sits nearly horizontal on the water.
The Duckdive was designed and tested with fussy kingfish in mind. It has since proven itself in wide range of environments, from shallow reef flats hunting coral trout, to reef edges for GT and and Mackerel through to the bluewater on big tunas!
