The Zenaq Tobizo TC80-180G DBL is the pinnacle rod from Zenaq for offshore casting, combining decades of design, research and construction experience. These cutting edge rods incorporate all of this knowledge to create rods which give the angler the best possible chance to land the fish of their dreams! These rods combine long cast ability, fish fighting power, precise lure manipulation and angler comfort all in the one package.
The Tobizo TC80-180G DBL has been designed from the ground up to easily fish high resistance poppers. Its unique elastic yet responsive blank allows the angler to properly work medium to large cup poppers with minimal effort. Move your rod 20cm and the popper will follow 20cm, move it 1 meter and the lure tracks 1 meter. This sharp responsiveness allows for both aggressive actions and delicate manipulations unlocking the full performance of large poppers. During testing Zenaq's Japanese pro staff noticed how easy it was working and casting the larger lures even with smaller anglers. This might not sound like much but for smaller guys wanting to throw and work big lures selecting a comfortable rod can be hard to find. Although designed for working poppers the TC80-180G makes a great rod for anglers who want to work large diving poppers and large to XL stickbaits.

DBL Power Booster

Reel Seat
The Tobizo DBL TC80-180G features the same Zenaq Hexagon reel seat as the flagship Type R series. The reel seat uses a composite of high strength and long-fibre carbon from Toray in a special molding machine to produce reel seats that can hold a large reel firmly without wobbling. The Hexagon reel seat also has the same shape as Zenaq's hexagon grips and a firm rubber outer that makes it comfortable to use for long sessions and does not loosen during hard fishing.
Guides
The rod has a blend of the best Fuji guides from the Titanium SiC RV guide for the stripper, followed by Stainless frame SiC guides in the middle for strength and Titanium Sic K guide as the tip assist (to minimise tip wraps) and lastly Titanium SiC tip guide. The rods guide setup and size has been carefully planned to allow the passage of bulky leaders and knots up to 220lb shock leaders.
Reels
Tobizo TC80-180G DBL will best suit reels in the 14000-20000 size range. If your fishing lines over PE8 we would recommend the bigger 18000+ size reels.
