The FIC-735ML is the longer of the two overhead casting models in our Icon series. Providing for long casting performance and exceptional versatility for various inshore, creek or river, and impoundment fishing scenarios. This rod is a must-have for any serious angler, designed to handle a wide range of lures and techniques.
These stunning rods are constructed with a blend of Toray Japan’s intermediate and high modulus fibres and Nano-Alloy resin tech. They have been constructed with barra fishing in mind, where a slightly softer tip section allows the fish to suck the lure into its mouth for better hook up rates. The highly responsive mid-section then provides for firm hooksets and keeping the rampaging fish attached, while the powerful bottom end has the strength to comfortably push the rods very hard relative to the line class.
Designed with a longer butt section for ergonomics that provide for better hook sets and fighting leverage, and moderate to fast action this rod has proven to be brilliant for mid-size prawn and plastics work, both slow rolling or tip up twitch and pause retrieves are well suited, it's also great with jigging and hopping work including with vibes, and can cross over to some hardbody applications, particularly topwater presentations. From the sandy contours at the river mouth to that deep rocky hole on an upstream bend, and out to the impoundment weed edge, this rod has a place in the quiver of many inshore anglers. Perfect for targeting barramundi, mangrove jacks, Murray cod, XL flathead and mulloway.
