The Huerco XT711-5S is a 5-piece spinning rod designed for long casting performance, with a taper that is perfect for casting small to medium-sized lures. This model is engineered to feel seamless, even as a multi-piece rod, especially when using PE lines, thanks to its stress-free regular fast taper.
Equipped with small-diameter guides from tip to belly, it minimizes line flutter during casting, enabling you to reach previously inaccessible spots like breaks and offshore pinnacles. This design enhances sensitivity by increasing the contact area between the blank and the line. The sensitive tip detects bites, the supple belly section ensures secure hook sets, and the robust butt section smoothly lands your catch. The XT711-5S handles a variety of techniques with ease, from retrieving minnows or sinking pencils to performing quick or slow rhythmic actions with pencil baits or poppers, and comfortably managing spoons or metal jigs.
Versatile enough for different fishing conditions, this rod is ideal for targeting sea bass, smaller trevallies, salmon, trout, flathead, tailor and rockfish all around the world.
The XT "Expeditionary Tuned" series is a "tough" model that covers a wide range of fishing needs, from everyday fishing to hard fishing trips. The XT series combines different materials to maximize the characteristics of each rod. It has a good balance between a feeling of use that minimizes the feeling of multiple joints and resilient strength. The guides are mainly made of durable stainless steel frames and SiC rings by Fuji, and some models are equipped with ALL double foot guides, assuming use in tough environments.
Huerco rods are designed to fit within the limit of 60cm to enable the rod to meet the carry on limits for most airlines. All rods easily fit within a small suitcase which can be "checked in" eliminating the need to take a bulky rod tube when travelling.
