Patriot Design is a small Japanese company, known around the world for their dedication to making expedition level tackle for hunting the worlds toughest gamefish. Their rods are particularly sought after by anglers chasing monster class GT, tuna and dogtooth, for both their rod power and durability in extreme fishing situations.
The Tuna Master Vertical is a mid-length jigging rod suited to high pitch and technical retrieves. The line rating is for PE4-6 however we feel it will fish best at the heavy end of its range. The action is a moderate taper, flexing smoothly in the first third, into steadily stiffer mid-to-butt section. From just above the foregrip, the rod is nice and firm, giving great support to anglers who like to fight a fish aggressively allowing the angler to dictate the fight to the fish.
The Patriot Design Tuna Master rods are built with Fuji reel seats and Fuji stainless framed SiC MNSG (Ocean) guides. All models feature alloy gimbal fitting on the butt.
