Suteki Plugging Single Short Assists SPT503 Hook

Suteki is a brand well known in Japan for producing some of the sharpest, strongest and well made hooks and terminals in the world! The Suteki short assist cord casting/plugging single assists are built on the ever reliable SPT503 strong hook. The short assist cord makes it ideal for targeting large predatory fish on smaller lures.  Features strong PE assist cord and a heat shrink finish over the top for extra protection.

The SPT503 hook features a super sharp and strong hook point that is positioned towards the eye of the hook for superior penetration. The hook shape and gape size is optimized in a way to maximize hook set and ease of angler use.

These short plugging single assists are perfect for targeting large kingfish, mac tuna, longtail tuna, yellowfin tuna, bluefin tuna, GT's and coral reef species where a smaller lure is required.

Hook Model Reference:

Crafters- For heavy saltwater casting/plugging. The Crafters hooks have been created to tackle the biggest predators you can throw lures at. These assists are recommended for XL kingfish, yellowfin tuna, bluefin tuna, dogtooth tuna and GT's

SPT503- For heavy casting/jigging. The SPT503 hooks suit a wide range of heavy casting and jigging applications. The SPT503 is still a heavy gauge hook but not to the extent of the crafters range. These hooks are recommended for kingfish, yellowfin tuna, bluefin tuna, dogtooth and GT's

Maboroshi- For medium tackle casting/jigging. The shape of Maboroshi hook is the best shape for jigging assists but it s still very popular for casting when penetration is the main game. The shank of the Maboroshi is longer than the SPT503 and the gap is not wide. These hooks are recommended for light jigging and casting for kingfish, mackerel, tuna species, coral reef jigging and snappers.
