The Patriot Design Diamond 78 is a specialist GT rod capable of combating medium to large GT's and pelagics around the world. This rod is the lightest of the World Combat GT-Z range, with the ability of throwing stickbaits and poppers up to 170g. The rod itself has a medium fast action with a tip capable of working bigger cup poppers as well as diving poppers and stickbaits with its elastic tip section. When loaded up the Diamond 78 has more than enough usable power to put some serious hurt on big GT's giving you the best chance at stopping a trophy fish. The rod blank itself is super powerful and durable helped by full 4-AXIS carbon and featuring decretive wraps above the handle. The Diamond 78 would be an ideal choice of rod for targeting GT's in the 15-45kg+ range. Designed for targeting GT's the Diamond 78 could also throw larger lures at dogtooth, tuna species, large pelagics and XL reef dwellers.
